[HOW TO] Enable save as offline page for offline reading on the Chrome - Android

For Chrome user on android, ever womder how to save the page as offline page for offline reading?

This feature is already built-in on it, but it's still on experiment flag. You need to activate it to enable this feature.

To activate this feature, open your chrome and type this on address bar ;

Now use "find in page" menu on chrome and type

Enable offline pages

There you'll find an option to enable save the page offline

Choose

Enabled as saved pages

As soon as you're done with your choice, notification will appear on the bottom to tell you to relaunch the chrome to take effect.

Press it and the option save as offline page will available.

It will work as the way you saved as bookmark. But it will goes offline, and won't sync with your Google account.

You can find the saved pages along with the bookmarked pages option for later reading.

How to Re-Odex apk Files directly using your android phone

Ok, this guide is only for those who need to Re-Odex an apk files after de-Odexed their apk. And this guide only applied to APK files, not framework. How to do it directly on your phone? check this out... 

Requirements

1. Lucky Patcher you can download the latest version from <<HERE>> 

2. Root explorer (this is must have app for rooted devices) and I presume you already have it 

3. Rar For Android (this is free, you can download from android playstore)

Step 1 - Setting up lucky patcher

Install and open Lucky Patcher app and go to Setting, Inside the setting look for "Filter" menu and tap on it, you can find and tap to check the "Show system apps" check box. Now back to Home screen. 

Step 2 - Defining what apps you want to Re-Odex

Ok, you need to define what app you want to Re-Odex, since the process is per one app. You can't Re-Odex all apps at once. 

After you define what apps you want, copy it to sdcard's root folder. e.g Home.apk

By using "Rar for android" you have downloaded tap and hold on Home.apk until the menu showed up, and select "Open as archive"

There, you're inside the Home.apk file, Next find the "classes.dex" file and "DELETE" it. trust me just do it, it will save the system partition for the next ".Odex" file generated.

Now get back to home screen

Step 3 - Creating Odex file

Open the Lucky patcher app, and now you need to find the app you have already backed up, now let's use another example. e.g "cLock" app, since My cLock app still deodexed. Now tap on it, and select "Tools" menu. You will be noticed that is system app, just tap on 'YES"

Now the next menu will appear, select "ODEX this app" wait, just a few second. and notification will appear telling you the process has been completed. 

Next, go to home screen, and put the app (the deleted classes.dex file) back to system/app or system/priv-app depend on what the original of the app folder location. 

Remove or replace the original file will do the same, and don't forget to give the right permission 

That's it. this process is lame after all, but this is the alternative way to save the system partition than using titanium back up app which is using too much resource and ram.

This is not for noob, only for advance user such as dev or modder who already knew how to decompile and recompile the apk files. let's get the guide begin 



The things you need to have

• Latest apktool, I recommend this apktool from BDfreak (availabel here) 
• How to use it? follow here
• framework-res.apk and/or SemcGenericUxpRes.apk
• Notepad++ or something else you have
• Image editor which could possibly made the transparent image I use Photoshop thou 

<< Step 1 >> Editing xml files

Now after you decompile those files go to "out folder"  framework-res.apk/res/value/style.xml

find this line of scripts 

<style name="Theme.DeviceDefault" parent="@style/Theme.Holo">

from the section above find another script contains

<item name="windowShowWallpaper">false</item>

change the value from "false" to "true" or / else you can find the script, just add the line at the bottom of the section as follow

<item name="windowShowWallpaper">true</item>

============ the part above used for CM base rom and SEMC base rom ============

Now for the special SEMC base ROM 

Find this line of script 

<style name="SEMCTheme" parent="@style/Theme">

and modify those line as follows

<style name="SEMCTheme" parent="@style/Theme.Wallpaper">

*be careful with your typos this is exactly what you need to type and watch the capslock button

Save it, but do NOT close just yet.

Open the decompiled SemcGenericUxpRes.apk go to res/value/style.xml

find this line of script 
<style name="SEMCTheme" parent="@*android:style/Theme">

and modify the line as follows
<style name="SEMCTheme" parent="@*android:style/Theme.Wallpaper">

*again be careful with you typos

And we're done with editing xml files Now proceed to another step

<< Step 2 >> Image editing 

On the decompiled framework-res.apk go inside the res/drawable-hdpi 
*it depend on what device you working at mine was HDPI device so I edit the image inside the "drawable-hdpi" folder it possibly on the other folder such as (nodpi/ldpi/mdpi/xhdpi) folder so look for yourself, savvy?

Now find the file named as background_holo_dark.png
*again, I am not guarantee this is the exact file you need to edit, find the respective file maybe it's not an image but an xml files and it located on the "drawable" folder so look for yourself, aye?

After you find the file, edit with respective image editing tools/program and make the image as transparent as you wish, but do not adjust to full opacity its need a bit opaque, maybe 60%-70% transparent value. 

after you've dealt with it, save the image with the same name as original files, and replace the current file.

============ the part above used for CM base rom ============

Now for the special SEMC base ROM

on the same folder find semc_bg.png (both, if you find more than one file)
with the same way, edit your image.

when it's done, save it and replace the original file

next, we work with image inside the SemcGenericUxpRes.apk in the res/drawable-hdpi or something else
find image file named as semc_bg_tile.png

and make it transparent with the same way. -_____- *meh

And we're done with all step, easy right? *yeah, you just reading it. 

<< Step 3 >> Recompile all decompiled files 
<< Step 4 >> Push all those file to your android, and reboot.  And hope, it won't bootloop.

DIY STYLUS (MEMBUAT STYLUS UNTUK SMARTPHONE)

Stylus ini dinamakan DIY STYLUS. (gak tau apa artinya ane juga gan) :D

Di youtube bisa ditemukan dengan kata kunci (STYLUS FOR ANDROID) dan bisa di temukan banyak cara untuk membuatnya. Tapi di sini saya akan membuatnya lebih mudah dan dalam bahasa Indonesia dengan baik yang benar.

Stylus berguna untuk menyentuh touchscreen, agar sentuhan lebih akurat. Tapi Karena Di smartphone Android/Iphone/ipad layarnya berjenis CAPACITIVE TOUCHSCREEN yang berarti butuh tegangan electric static untuk mengaktifkan touchscreen-nya (ya menggunakan kulit di jari tangan mu)karena di tanganmu (tubuh manusia ada tegangan listrik static yang kecil).

Okeh, untuk membuat stylus ini di butuhkan hampir tidak mengeluarkan biaya alias gratis dan bisa ditemui di sekitar kalian. Bahan yang di butuhkan adalah :

1. Kapas atau sponge ( tau sponge, sponge bob ingan itu :D)

2. Tusuk gigi (ini terlihat konyol, tapi ini sangat effective untuk akurasi touch)
1. Alternative nya bisa menggunakan Korek Kuping yang berkapas (cotton Bud)

3. Tembaga berdiameter ½ mm s/d 1 mm (di mana bisa menemukan bahan ini? Saya menemukannya di tempat barang bekas, kebetulan di rumah saya banyak kabel LAN yang tak terpakai) kita butuh ini ½ meter s/d 1 meter. Atau jika tidak ada bisa menggunakan kabel biasa. Dan ambil tembaganya saja.
4. Dan air 2 mili liter. :D

Dan sekarang cara untuk membuat stylus nya.

Sangat simple. Untuk yang mengguanakan kapas dan tusuk gigi.

Lingkarkan kapas di ujung tusuk gigi secukupnya, jangan seluruh tusuk gigi di kapasin, cukup buat untuk menutupi ujung tusuk gigi dan buat cukup tebal agar ujung tusuk gigi tidak/hampir tidak terasa menusuk di kulit.

Sekarang, lingkarkan tembaga tadi ke kapas tapi sisakan kapas di ujung tusuk gigi (jangan semua di tutupi oleh tembaga) pastikan tusuk gigi tidak / hampir terasa menusuk dan menembus kapas. Dan seterusnya tutupi tusuk gigi seluruh nya dengan tembaga.

Jadi systemnya ini merambatkan listrik static yang ada di jari tangan ke ujung kapas di tusuk gigi tadi menggunakan tembaga. Jadi perlu seluruh sangat tusuk gigi di tutupi dengan tembaga. Selain untuk menutupi tusuk gigi tadi, juga agar listrik static yang ada di tangan merambat sempurna ke ujung kapas.

Dan untuk apa air tadi?

Sifat air merambatkan listrik static di tembaga ke kapas lalu ke touch screen agar kapas tadi bekerja seperti kulit di jari tangan.

Nah, jadi kesimpulannya harus ada air walaupun sedikit untuk melembabkan kapas tadi.

Gimana jika tidak ada air?

Tubuhmu mengandung 70% air, ambil air dari tubuh mu. (di sini saya menggunakan Ludah :D wakakakakak) tapi itu sangat effective jika tidak ada air sama sekali, atau mungkin air kencing gan. Hehehehe….

Nah begitulah cara membuat stylus untuk smarphone.

1. Pilih cwm-6.0.2.8-touch.zip
2. TUNGGU sampai proses selesai
3. Reboot / restart
4. TUNGGU sampai benar benar nyala (1 menit TUNGGU)
 5. Matikan lagi (Dan masuk ke menu recovery, akanakan ada yangyang berbeda denganan menu recovery ini adalahadalah cwm)
kalian bisa memilih dengan menggunakanan touch / sentuh

 6. Sekarang pilih apply update from sdcard dan cari wm-superSu-v0.99.zip
7. TUNGGU lagi sampai proses selesai
8. Reboot /restart
9. TUNGGU sampai benar benar errrr...
10. Udah ah, cape errr :D
Andromax kalian sudah DI root
Buat ngecek, cek ada aplikasi superSU DI menu kalian atau ngga. Kalo belum ada Baca lagi ada yang salah mungkin dengan prosuder nya.

ADB atau yang di kenal dngan (android debugging bridge), entah lah apa artinya debug pada bahasa indonesia kayaknya debug itu udah kata serapan dari bahasa inggris, yang gua kenal adalah GEBUG yang dalam bahasa sunda artinya PUKUL. wakwakwakwak..... WTF!!!

Kembali ke topic, adb ini sebenernya ada di mana mana, ada di program java, flashtool, apktool, dan entah di mana lagi banyak. 

berikut ini cara menginstall adb, errr... atau mungkin lebih etis kalau hanya mensetting nya. karena sudah ada di windows (khususnya) atau pada linux (lebih khususnya). 

Ok, pertama kita cari pada program FLASHTOOL (buat yang android nya merk SONY)

Buka > C:\Flashtool\x10flasher_lib 

tuh ketemu adb gimana cara installnya?

>>>> > Klick kanan My computer > properties > Advance System Settings
>>>>> di TAB advance pilih > ENVIRONMENT VARIABLE
>>>>> di kolom SYSTEM VARIABLE pilih/cari/temukan variable PATH
>>>>> klick tombol EDIT

Jika menambahkan sebelum variable C:\Program Files\Broadcom\Broadcom 802.11 Network Adapter\Driver;

maka tambahkan titik koma (;) pada akhir nya. 

 C:\Flashtool\x10flasher_lib;C:\Program Files\Broadcom\Broadcom 802.11 Network Adapter\Driver;

Tapi jika menambahkan SETELAH atau pada AKHIR VARIABLE yang sudah ada maka TAMBAHKAN TITIK KOMA (;) SEBELUM VARIABLE C:\Flashtool\x10flasher_lib. 

Ok, bagaimana mengerti? 

Kalian bisa mecari dimana saja program yang mempunya ADB di dalamnya, dan menerapkan metode tersebut. untuk menginstall nya. errr... MENSETTINGNYA atau MENGATURNYA. Gak perluu di Install cuma di SETTING.

Edify vs Amend (scripting)

Apa itu edify dan amend scripting?

pada android khususnya pada recovery di kenal dengan scripting yaitu bahasa pemograman khusus untuk masing masing recovery.


Untuk amend scripting biasanya di gunakan hanya untuk recovery yang versinya 2.0 kebawah contohnya:
Xrecovery yang di temukan oleh zdzihu@xda.
xrecovery hanya mampu membaca dan melakukan proses install jika pada file tersebut terdapat amend scripting.
Untuk edify scripting di gunakan pada recovery yang mempunyai versi 3.0 keatas contohnya:
Clocworkmod recovery (CWM), belum tahu siapa yang menemukan cwm sampai saat ini. yang jelas pasti sumbernya di xda-developers forum.
seperti xrecovery, cwm juga hanya bisa membaca dan melakukan proses install jika pada file tersebut terdapat edify scripting.

Tapi sekarang sudah ada file untuk mengubah edify ke amend / atau amend ke edify (cari di google banyak) dan berbeda versi.

Untuk membedakan antara Edify dan Amend Scripting pada suatu file yang akan di install melalui recovery caranya sebagai berikut.

buka file tersebut (biasanya berupa file zip)
menggunakan root explorer atau program di pc/notebook
dalam file zip tersebut masuk ke folder > META-INF / com / google / android / xxxx_xxxx

if "xxxx_xxxx" = "update _script"
then "amend_scripting"
tapi / but / else / however :D
if "xxxx_xxxx" = "updater_script"
then "edify_scripting"

First, Download this
Now save it to the root of your SDCARD
Turn off your Phone, and wait untill it off
Now press volume-up+home+power button together keep preesing it untill your phone entering RECOVERY MODE
(your galaxy Y is already integrated with STANDART RECOVERY before you doing any root process)
Now, look for the file update.zip you have download before through recovery. (in recovery mode you only can navigate UP and DOWN)
Once you have choose the file, when dialog open choose YES.
Wait untill flash process done about 10 minutes, once the process done the phone will reboot automatically and will boot as normal.
Now, your phone has been rooted.

Sebelumnya saya jelaskan dulu apa itu kernel.
Dalam komputasi , kernel merupakan komponen yang paling utama dari OS komputer, yang merupakan jembatan antara aplikasi dan hardware sebagai pengolahan data secara aktual.  Tanggung jawab kernel termasuk sumber daya sistem pengelolaan (komunikasi antara hardware dan software komponen). Biasanya, sebagai komponen dasar dari suatu sistem operasi, kernel dapat menyediakan tingkat terendah lapisan abstraksi untuk sumber daya (terutama prosesor dan I / O device ) bahwa perangkat lunak aplikasi harus mengontrol untuk melakukan fungsinya.
Cukup penjelasan dari saya ttg kernel.
Sekarg kita lihat perbedaannya

Stock kernel
Kernel bawaan OEM, pabrikan, yang fungsinya standar di peruntukan melakukan kerja yg minimal, biasanya d sesuaikan dengan tingkat Processor dan RAM pada device/Smartphone.

Custom Kernel
Pengembangan dari stock kernel yg d peruntukan untuk melakukan kinerja yg lebih pada suatu komputer/smartphone, sehingga mampu melakukan apa yg stock kernel tidak bisa lakukan. Tetapi Custom tidak seluruhnya sempurna, keberadaan BUGS dalam Custom kernel membuat kernel tidak stabil berbeda dengan stock kernel yg stabil tapi tidak bisa untuk melakukan proses yg diluar batas kernel itu sendiri.
Dalam smartphone, sperti ANDROID kernel melakukan hal yg sama pada komputer. Akan tetapi untuk menggunakan CUSTOM KERNEL pada ANDROID banyak yg tidak berhasil, di karenakan harus melalui langkah yg mungkin org awam belum ketahui. Dari mulai proses ROOT hingga UNLOCK BOOTLOADER yg sangat beresiko membuat ANDROID menjadi rusak, atau BRICK. Kita akan bahas apa itu BRICK dan berbagai macam brick d postingan selanjutnya.
